"Making fashion of the future more sustainable is not only important but a total must"
HOW DID YOU GET IN TOUCH WITH DIEMONDE? AND WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO COLLABORATE?
Angelo's and my paths crossed, for a few different reasons, and I immediately felt that it was a person I wanted to work with and get to know. Rarely do you meet someone so incredibly open, generous and inspiring! In addition, I think that Diemonde's whole concept is fantastic and I would more than like to be a part of it. I work a lot with sustainability in my own practice and when he then asked if I wanted to be part of an Upcycle project - the answer was given.
HOW DO YOU APPROACH DIEMONDE'S RELATIVELY NEW WAYS OF WORKING WHEN IT COMES TO UPCYCLING AND CIRCULAR DESIGN AND PRODUCTION PHILOSOPHY?Making fashion of the future more sustainable is not only important but a total must! I think it's impressive to see such a new and small company take that kind of initiative and really show their front feet. The industry needs to change and more people need to adapt to Diemonde's philosophy.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS COLLABORATION ANGELO?I have been following Antonia for a couple of years now. Her expression is inspiring with a unique twist. I first got in contact with her for her Swedish Fashion Talent nomination when I joined the Swedish Fashion Association's board in 2020. After that, we realized we have common thoughts about the industry and the change that needs to take place to promote the development of Swedish fashion. Antonia is a visionary and fantastic person, this collaboration has been very energizing and fun!
